The Avenue site in Sunbury on Thames was home to the stadium of the London Irish Rugby Club. The club originally purchased the site in 1931.
Planning was secured on the 18-acre home ground of London Irish Rugby Club by a team led by James Stacpoole, the Chief Investment Officer at Oxygen Real Estate Group.
Planning was approved for over 200 homes and the deal included the purchase of a new training ground close by.
The new training ground included 17 pitches and a state-of-the-art clubhouse. The new training ground was developed before selling The Avenue site to Crest Nicholson.
